Searching Help with Keywords

Searching for keywords can be extremely powerful tool to find the help you are looking for in ChildPlus. When you perform a keyword search, ChildPlus will display each topic in help that contains the word(s) you are searching. You can control the list of topics found by adding or removing keywords from your search. Adding or removing keywords narrows your search until only very relevant topics and keywords remain in the list. To search for a specific phrase, enclose the phrase in quotation marks, for example "family services" finds topics that contain the exact phrase family services.   To make your search results more specific, you can combine multiple words or phrases with AND, OR, NEAR, or NOT. For example, searching for family not services will find all topics that contain the word family but do not contain the word services.

Searching for Keywords

1. Open Help in ChildPlus.  How do I do this? Click on the green Help tab and choose ChildPlus Help.
2. Click on the Search tab in ChildPlus Help.
   
   
3. Type the keyword(s) that you want to search.
4. Click Search.
5. Select the topic you want to view from the list of search results.
   
   

Narrowing Your Search Results

1. Open Help in ChildPlus.  How do I do this? Click on the green Help button and choose ChildPlus Help.
2. Click on the Search tab in ChildPlus Help.
   
3. Type the keyword(s) that you want to search.
4. Use the picklist to select the module or feature in ChildPlus that you want to search. When you narrow down your search results this way, ChildPlus will only search the topics that match the module or feature you selected.
5. Click Search.

Searching Favorites

1. Open Help in ChildPlus.  How do I do this? Click on the green Help button and choose ChildPlus Help.
2. Click on the Search tab in ChildPlus Help.
   
3. Type the keyword(s) that you want to search.
4. Click to only search the topics that you have marked as a favorite.
